In-house Training at Klinikum Fürth

"Convinced by the idea and concept, we were able to quickly and easily implement an in-house course covering the entire endourological spectrum. The focus was primarily on transurethral resection of bladder and prostate models. The advantages quickly became apparent: a manageable organizational effort, as a large part of the equipment is provided by Samed GmbH Dresden. Young colleagues can be trained in their familiar environment, and there is also the option to complete a virtual course. Participants have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the available technical equipment without the time pressure of daily clinical routines. The handling of instruments for daily work can be learned differently (from opening to closing the instrument tray).

The training is conducted by experienced colleagues within the department, who can convey in-house specifics in a unique way. This concept is particularly beneficial for colleagues who are just beginning to perform new endourological procedures, providing an advantageous entry-level option. The economic benefits should also not be overlooked, as even with a small minimum number of participants, the course remains cost-effective. For our department, this will certainly not be the last course conducted by colleagues for colleagues."
